Volunteer
Ongoing volunteer participation is needed to help expand CCMP’s fight for comprehensive healthcare while also helping to deliver life-saving preventive healthcare benefits. You can play a part! You do not have to be a healthcare professional to organize lifesaving care.
-Your volunteer participation as a Certified CCMP Advocate can help organize: general medical sessions providing primary care, non-emergency dental treatment at general dental and dental specialist sessions, as well as victories through advocacy to expunge medical bills, coordinate follow-up care and reverse denials of services by insurance companies and government agencies.
-Volunteer artists, graphic designers and writers hold publication sessions to produce CCMP’s quarterly newsletter, Vital Signs, as well as leaflets, postcards, posters and other literature to publicize the fight for comprehensive healthcare.
-Volunteers lead outreach activities on college campuses, at markets, health fairs and conduct telephone contact sessions to inform members and volunteers of upcoming activities. At food and hygiene supply drives volunteers collect needed supplies to make our free-of-charge medical and dental benefits possible.
-CCMP’s Speakers’ Bureau of advocates, benefit recipients, members and volunteer organizers lead speaking engagements to clubs, classrooms, religious institutions, fraternal service organizations and more.
-Build and lead campaigns to save our hospitals, reverse public health budget cuts, provide disaster relief and unite with associations of nurses, doctors and others to demand the health of the people and planet be placed above profits.
Call us today and schedule a time to come in and learn more about how your participation can make a difference to advance the fight for comprehensive health care. Bring someone you know; give them the opportunity to be part of this important, historic effort.
